From Safari to Mexico

Family time today consists of a trip to Safari Playground which is an indoor play area and then to a Mexican restaurant by Tony's office. His customer has been asking him to bring the family in to Puerto Vilareuta for tacos and chips! You don't need to invite Tony twice where food is concerned. I heard a mention of fried ice cream as well. Normally during Lent we don't do a lot of eating out and sweets but today is a feast day and it is acceptable for a little celebratory fun! I hope your Sunday is going well! Ole'

Date Night

Last night we decided to go to Saturday night mass and when we came home Tony wanted to watch a movie. The boys went right to bed as it was bedtime. The girls had a slumber party in the basement and Tony and I watched a movie on Netflix. It was called The Way and starred Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez. It was thought provoking and moving. The summary is this: a son goes on a pilgrimage and is killed in France. His father goes to collect his remains and along the way continues the sons pilgrimage. Along the way he meets a Dutchman that is in a bad marriage, a woman suffering from effects of an abortion, and a writer that can not write. All four go on the pilgrimage to discover the one true healer is God who wipes away all pain. It is provoking and moving. Although we are not trekking 900 km to Spain on a pilgrimage we are all walking our own journey and it really lit my fire to continue on my course regardless of the obstacles.
